Nepotism is everywhere in the Design department. If you are "in" with the top leadership, you will be promoted and given raises consistently. There are a handful of employees that are the "chosen" for private jet trips, work design travel trips and awards over and over again. There are NO cost of living raises or performance salary increases. You must change your title to receive increases on any level. You may over perform in your current title, have amazing reviews but there is never compensation for success. So you either change your title thru a subway map of different positions or quit.

Work is overwhelming and there is no work life balance for the people in the trenches. We also get paid terribly for the amount of hard work required of us. There are people in leadership who do absolutely nothing and get paid a lot of money to do nothing while the rest of us can't breathe with the amount of work we have to do. There is no help. It takes a really long time to get people trained, and they don't pay well enough to keep people around. They also have us take company surveys and then don't do anything to make changes. There are also no opportunities for career growth.
