Pros

Quick interview process, quick training, fast paced

Cons

Pros and cons are about the same. Terrible pay, not great benefits, people cutting corners and don’t even get me started on the amount of calls you have to make. Feels like borderline harassment.

In addition to competitive base pay, we offer branch team members generous benefits and opportunities to earn additional compensation through incentive programs. We value our team members’ efforts and take meaningful steps to engage and reward their hard work. - ck

Pros

Honestly the experience getting to know the cornerstone to the financial industry.. some people don’t even know what they’re actually apart of and I came into the workforce knowing. I also liked that I was on the front lines as grueling as it might of been.. pay is decent if you hit bonuses they’re actually in the top range of even big banks.. I happened to be in some of western PA’s biggest branches with solid coworkers that drove competition and really knew how to collect so I learned a lot … Vacation time was a big plus they start at 15 days and it increases 20 and 25. It set the foundation for a lot of skills from the sheer volume of calls that needed to be made and customer interactions. It aloud me to get my insurance license and learn about life insurance which is another big pillar in the financial markets and personal finance. Overall there were a lot of pluses it opened the door to so many other opportunities when I left. Big banks and higher positions knock the door down of my indeed page when I send a resume

Cons

It depends on how you look at it.. the competitive vibe was crazy in 2/3 of the branches I was in I moved around to learn from different managers as I was on track to be a manager within a few years.. that atmosphere can be taxing especially when you have to deal with high intensity situations where the work is mentally demanding already. Eventually targets got honestly ridiculous the amount of money they expected us to loan out. Goals became so unrealistic it was laughable. This is someone who believes in standards and bars should be met but they just became out of touch with the branches. It was still individual goals I’m not sure if that’s changed. Delinquency goals were too bad and we were always under by plenty I think one month our delinquency was like 1.5 or something crazy. That’s all I really can think of the branch having individual new money goals drove toxic behavior in some of the branches and every time a goal was hit they raised it that could be a good think but eventually it just got out of hand.
