Pros

They offer very great benefits, a good work environment, relaxed atmosphere. The salaries are OK. Women get 8 weeks 100% paid maternity leave and men and women both get 2 weeks parental bonding time 100% paid (10 weeks total for women, 2 for men).

Cons

Somewhat of limited upward mobility at this point and time. Not a lot of turnover in management currently. The pay is OK, but could be more. The bonus program is improving, but still could be better.

Pros

Professional and flexible work environment. A great place to learn all of the aspects of the lending industry. Daily interactions with various customers, business partners, and upper management make every day different and challenging.

Cons

Frequent periods of high stress. The dillusions out there that consumer finance is a predatory industry. It's NOT.

Pros

You will always know where you stand and will be reminded on a daily basis. The job is production based, and at the end of the day it's all about the numbers. If you don't have any interest in a life outside of work, and want to move up the corporate ladder it's not a horrible place to work. Benefits as far as company match for 401k/stock options are pretty decent also.

Cons

Forget about a work-life balance. District managers always pressure you to work more hours to turn in better results. Average work week is about 55 hours, but month end can easily be 65-70+ when you include Saturday hours. As a salaried manager (no OT) plan on being used and abused. The normal staffing in branches these days is 1-2 employees down from what it once was which means a lot more work for everyone in the branch. Again, if you don't mind working non-stop the job is ok, but turnover is high for a reason. Your expectations will be VERY high, and there is a lot of pressure to perform. If you do not THRIVE under pressure don't even think about taking this job.
