Poor instruction and training for new teachers, leaving much to decipher on your own and some training given weeks after the so-called induction.
All lessons are double ones that last 1 hour 40 minutes, routinely given 'inadequate' by regional principles based on 2 minute observations, culminating in the disincentivisation of staff with demoralising feedback from 20-something and brainwashed line-managers.
The students hold sway with the hiring and firing. If they want you gone, you will be. After they tell their parents of course, whose sensibilities you will have outraged for something you won't even be made aware of. If you pop out for food at lunch time for example in another staff member's car (who happens to be of a different gender), it appears you will be let go, with them citing a 'parental complaint' as the reason. Nothing else. However many times you ask for the reason. Unethical to say the least.
Staff turnover is therefore high. Shockingly so.
But, if you fancy joining a closed community of cloned and bigoted thinkers (not including most staff here) where you can feel disrespected, discouraged and disheartened, then do apply. No need to hurry though - there will always be vacancies!
