Pros

Some great employees Good values on paper

Cons

I joined OSV because the vision was something I wanted to be a part of. Unfortunately, that changed quickly. OSV has some awesome employees but senior leadership doesn't value the employees that invested huge amounts of time to build the business and keep it going during tough times. They are looking to place blame instead of trying to fix the root of the problems. This has resulted in micro-management, low morale, and significant turnover. There were some good leaders who cared and advocated for their employees but many of them have left. The pay and benefits look good on paper. Unlimited PTO is a great concept but doesn't play out in the real world, it's difficult to take even 1 week off, let alone more. The changes to the merit process will result in existing employees base salary below market value after only a couple of years. 401k match is sub-par. I keep hoping that OSV will turn things around, but I am not convinced they can. The outsourcing world is hard, OSV is harder.

Pros

10 core values are at the heart of what the company does and they seem to be observed and practiced by the majority of the workforce. Good leadership team who practice the OSV values they preach. Employees are awarded well. Best environment I've worked in, with option to work from home. Very flexible Every opportunity is given to you to say your piece and the majority of what you say is listened to. All this equating to an open, friendly and family like culture. I enjoy going to work.

Cons

A year or two ago, I could have given a number of con's but, OSV have listened and realigned their management structure that suits most (which was the biggest problem with employee satisfaction, IMHO) A few in the business don't get the culture and some are just out of touch with what we do. This can make it difficult to get things done and is causing avoidable hostilities. I'm remunerated well but no pay increment structure exists (no cost of living rise etc). Also, the pay award structure doesn't fit the whole business. It works well for those in roles where they can progress from Analyst, Analyst 2, Senior Analyst Consultant, but not for the role that I or my team mates are in. I'm finding that I'm stuck on the same compensation package for 2 years unless I move department - which I don't really want to do.

Pros

I like working here. I like working from home, I like the work/life balance, I like the values, I like the people. I think that management works hard to make BOTH the employees and the customers happy, and thats quite a juggling act. Sometimes corrections are needed, but management is pretty quick to identify where and act on it.

Cons

The benefits are pretty good... domestic partner insurance, good PTO plan. The 401k Match however is a huge JOKE!! They could certainly improve on that. Also, the pay is below market average. Alot of our quality Employees get lured away by the competition. We have had high turnover recently and that creates heavy work load for the rest of us, which causes burn out, which causes EE's to look for other opportunities. This cycle needs to be broken FAST.
