Pros

Some of the people are very talented

Cons

Lack of organization, managers and other higher ups are clueless about certain aspects of their job, CEO is too involved in the day-to-day operations of the company, work-life balance is nonexistent, uncertainty about the direction the company is headed in, no companywide work from home policy (I know, strange for a tech company), just overall a not so great place to be.

Thank you for your feedback and for taking the time to highlight your talented peers! As a 4-year-old business, like any business from start-up to Fortune 500, we are constantly rethinking and iterating on how to best organize our teams and processes in order to continue to deliver excellence for our customers. We have a process every quarter to continue to refine our processes, and our growth and success in the market are certainly indicators that this continues to be successful as we grow, mature and iterate. As the fastest growing company in the industry and with a management team with a history of building and scaling businesses that are built to last, our employees and customers choose to work with OneTrust primarily because of our long-term outlook and our ability to invest in the market, our team and our product. Certainly during the COVID period, all companies in the market globally had a moment of uncertainty and OneTrust was no different and fortunately, the market we are in recovered quickly. We set expectations during the recruitment process that this is not your typical 9 to 5 job. With a 4-year growth rate of 48,000% and #1 standing in a highly competitive market, things move fast here and we understand that this isn't going to be the right environment for everyone. We can't say enough about the efforts put forth by our talented team and we continue to find opportunities to help our employees balance their work and home lives. We have increased the number of vacation days across our global offices consistently every year including a "Community Day" dedicated to diversity learning and engagement, and even just announced a day off this year in September for employee appreciation. We value employee participation so feel free to reach out to your HR Business Partner if you have any concerns, suggestions or questions. Thank you!

Thank you for taking the time to share your perspective. It's disappointing that some employees feel and have felt as though OneTrust doesn't value its people. Without OT employees, the company wouldn't be in such a promising, positive position in the market as it is today. Additionally, our people are what make a career at OneTrust exciting! We get to learn from one another every day and drive toward the same mission - to unlock every company's potential to thrive by doing what's good for people and the planet. Our leaders recognize the importance of empowering all OT employees globally to do their best work. In the past 18 months, our leadership team has introduced regular employee engagement surveys, an annual performance management process, improved benefits (e.g. 14+ weeks of parental leave globally, inclusive of adoption), refreshed culture & values, enhanced people manager enablement, and so much more. They incorporated all of these things to ensure OT employees are being heard and supported. We know there is still a lot of work to do, and we look forward to what this means for our people and the company in the future.

Pros

Build lasting relationships with other AEs. Learn first hand what not to do when scaling a business. Potential to be a part of a future Netflix documentary as OT is the perfect cautionary tale of putting profits over people and customers.

Cons

Customers are not supported. Career growth is not supported. Horrible leadership with no transparency.

Thanks for taking the time to share your perspective. Our people, especially in the Sales org, are incredibly supportive and collaborative, so it's great to see you've built lasting relationships with them. It's a good time for our Sales team because there's a giant total addressable market with expansion opportunities for existing customers. We understand that going from one niche product (privacy) to additional domains comes with a lot of change especially as we continue to mature. That's why we have already started bringing in experienced leaders from other tech companies to scale and position ourselves for long term success. We also regularly hear from our Executive Leadership Team in quarterly All Hands, Culture & Coffee, and Inside the Numbers sessions where they share a ton of insight transparently. We look forward to what's next for OneTrust.
