Pros

Extremely fast paced, dynamic environment. Great technology, great team of hard working, intelligent people. Flat organisation, reporting to CEO and Co-founder. Autonomous, work hard culture. Very hard working leadership team.

Cons

Its fast paced which means your role can change often - however if you like variety in your job then its perfect. If you are someone who needs a lot of process and direction then its not the right environment for you.

Lack of vision and planning

Pros

Intelligent coworkers and interesting industry to be in.

Cons

Extreme lack of vision and planning for the company. Many employees only last a couple weeks because management changes their minds about hiring that role or the employee quits because their job description has changed so much. Unless you're in engineering, your job functions never stay the same. Employees are asked to change roles, departments, functions on a weekly basis with out any consideration of the employees background or what they want to work on in the future. The company is a completely flat structure with everyone reporting to the CEO. So its nearly impossible to get feedback or understand what to work on next since he is rarely in the office.

Great talent but no company morale. Development sweatshop.

Pros

Intelligent, hard-working people. Great benefits package. High market awareness and where it stands amongst competitors. Lots of room for growth.

Cons

Low pay. High turnover. Abuse of power by upper management and CEO. People forced to work long hours plus weekends REGULARLY due to absurd deadlines. Engineering department usually strapped for resources because of this. Developers on-staff are frequently drove to sickness due to how hard they're pushed to make deadlines. There's a major difference between a challenging fast-paced start-up and a madhouse with no morale and terrible leadership. Executives are more concerned with securing new clients than building quality enterprise software. Could care less about employees or company morale which makes recruiting very difficult.
