Thank you for sharing your experience. It's great to see you've enjoyed our start-up culture and exposure in your role. We're proud to use a modern tech stack to create our widely-recognized software. We also are watching our culture transform as we shift from a tech startup to a more sophisticated enterprise company that's positioned for long-term growth. This natural trajectory is fun to be a part of because all OT employees get to contribute to and build our foundation. We know that working at OneTrust isn't the typical 9 to 5 you may experience at other companies; that's the nature of working for one of the fastest-growing private tech companies in the world. That said, we have buffers in place to help our employees feel supported outside of work too. OneTrust offers Flexible PTO (also known as Unlimited PTO) to all employees globally. Starting in 2024, OneTrust will also have additional recharge days and a volunteer day off, including a companywide recharge week between Christmas and New Year's Day, so that our people can take more time away from the office to relax and recharge. Thanks again for sharing your feedback!

Pros

compensation package and supportive co-workers. economy has me stuck here more-or-less

Cons

difficult to maintain and understand any of the code they are in many different repositories and do not follow the same code practices which makes anything and everything take longer to do. work assigned is high-level with little research done on difficulty to implement deliverables creating poor overall team performance. room for growth is a sham, no raises, no promotions, poor engineer retainment. company culture is buried in some webpage that few people can even find. the only value here being pursued is profit, the rest is just to save face

Pros

Unlimited PTO if they don't ask you to take a meeting during it & employer paid healthcare.. but these just trap you

Cons

I worked for OneTrust for 2 years, and it was a truly horrendous experience. The culture was toxic, and the management seemed more interested in their personal agendas than in fostering a positive work environment. One of the worst aspects was the mass layoff that occurred during my time there, where a staggering 25% of the workforce was let go. The company's decision was sudden and heartless, leaving many talented individuals without a job and causing immense stress and anxiety among the remaining employees. It was clear that the company prioritized short-term gains over the well-being of its employees. To add insult to injury, despite receiving an "exceeding expectations" rating during my performance review, I was denied a well-deserved raise. This blatant disregard for rewarding hard work and dedication only further exemplifies the company's lack of integrity and appreciation for its employees. The overall culture within the company was toxic and demoralizing. Communication was poor, with management rarely listening to or valuing the input of their subordinates. The lack of transparency and accountability created an environment of distrust and frustration. Additionally, the work-life balance was non-existent. The company consistently demanded excessive hours and unrealistic deadlines, causing burnout and negatively impacting the mental and physical well-being of employees. If you're considering joining this company, I strongly advise against it. The terrible culture, unjust treatment, and lack of appreciation for employees make it an incredibly unpleasant and demoralizing place to work. Save yourself the stress and frustration and look elsewhere for better opportunities.

Thank you for sharing your feedback with us. We hate to see you didn't enjoy your experience at OneTrust. We went through a lot of change last year. We moved from a high-growth start up to one focused on long-term growth and value for our customers. We welcomed a number of acquired companies and new leadership to build and scale the leading Trust Intelligence Platform. We recognize our culture shifted as a result. One of these new leaders was a Chief People Officer who joined us last year in our effort to scale and improve all our people processes and experiences, and we also created and hired a Talent Management team who has already revamped our culture and values and continues to work on our onboarding, development, and DEI efforts. 100's of employees participated in focus groups and nearly 2,000 provided feedback via our engagement survey to help shape our culture, and now that we have refreshed our culture and introduced our values internally, we're excited to have a north star for how we show up and make decisions at work. We also reintroduced our merit increases and bonus program this year, and we introduced the first phase of our annual performance review process to help determine what that means for our people. As we continue to progress forward, we are currently accepting submissions for the next iteration of our employee engagement survey. These responses will help us determine where OneTrust still has room to grow internally to provide a best-in-class employee experience - something that's a goal for us in our OnePlan strategy. In the past, these surveys have helped OneTrust leaders see the gaps in areas like benefits and career development, for example. In response, we rolled out improved benefits and that's something we're excited to see evolve even more in the future! We also believe believe career progression and advancement can happen in a number of ways - through new assignments or rotational opportunities, learning new skills, exposure to new customers or problems to solve, and promotions. When you’re defining and operating in a dynamic market there are no shortage of those opportunities. In the past year, many of our team members were also promoted or moved laterally into new roles within the company. We will continue to promote these opportunities and other career development offerings this year. Again, we appreciate your feedback. We will share your thoughts with our leadership team so that we can all focus on ways to further improve the employee experience for our current and future workforce.
