A job - but not for someone with high aspirations

Pros

Flexible office time after heavy field work. Work is heavily task based, so if tasks are simple, work is easy. Hourly staff seem to get 4-5 weeks paid vacation, 7 sick days, and paid holidays. Good place to start for fresh graduates. Lots of low level experience and low level opportunities.

Cons

Stack testing is heavily task based, and very heavy field work amounts at times. Sometimes exhaustive but it is part of the industry. Montrose initially made it seem they would revolutionize stack testing. Instead their ignorance by senior management let them fall into the same traps. Focus went from improving employees lives to slowly reducing benefits and increasing workload as Montrose wanted to show revenue and profit growth due to a string of less fruitful acquisitions in 2014-2016. Management continues to push for revenue and profit as the main KPIs. Extra tasks are continually developed by management for project managers to complete, without lightening the load of current tasks or hiring more employees. Does not seem to be light at the end of the tunnel.

Montrose is a place to grow and challenge yourself. We are growing and therefore evolving with each acquisition. It is a fun, fast paced environment, that allows for your ideas to matter. I love my job, my team and our leadership.

Cons

If you do not like change then Montrose is not the place for you.
