      Will not recommend this company to anyone. Not even to my enemies if I had any.

      Pros

      Proximity to great restaurants is convenient.

      Cons

      1-There was no technical development for engineers to improve their skills, and there was no proper training on any significant level 2- Underpaid compared to local engineering firms 3-The strategy of having nontechnical/non-engineers in management positions has a terrible ripple effect on the firm. For example, the acquisition of companies with no sense of direction shows that the company does not know what field they really want to excel in.

      I would NOT recommend working at MONTROSE

      Pros

      Convenient office location (Irvine office).

      Cons

      1) Significantly underpaid compared with other environmental companies. Look elsewhere and check salary range in your area. 2) The individual technical divisions are overseen by essentially a financial firm, not by engineers or people with technical expertise. Corporate sets guidelines and makes decisions with little knowledge of the engineering profession or of field-specific issues. 3) Overall, higher level finance & corporate executives don’t care about technical staff, so watch your back.

      Big Corporate Mess

      Pros

      The company is a good place to start and lots of new skills will be learned quickly.

      Cons

      Management doesn't care about their employees and minimizes their contributions. Management is egotistical, narcissistic, and favorites get credit regardless of who actually did the work. No loyalty to past accomplishments and dispite all their talk they get senior people to train new hires(lower paid) and then boot the senior employees out
