Ontic is, without a doubt, the highlight of my career

Pros

I've been at Ontic for a year and a half and seen the company evolve and grow tremendously, but the mission has always been crystal clear to me and stayed consistent. I also value the direct line to leadership, even as the company has grown. Meetings are led with an informal, but organized structure that makes speaking up easy. The founders are approachable and motivating (and just enjoyable to be around). Flexibility has been a huge plus for me - I primarily work from home and come in when it makes sense for meetings, and feel trusted that I am doing my work. Most of all, I love the work we are doing to help keep businesses and organizations safe - something top of mind in this day and age. While a good portion of employees come from security or military backgrounds, a majority do not and there is an AMAZING onboarding program that gets employees ramped up to understand the industry, or know where to turn or who to ask when you don't have an answer. This is a company that stands out for all the right reasons and will continue to do great things. I am proud to be a part of it.

Pros

Ontic has some of the most passionate and talented people I’ve ever worked with. There’s a shared sense of purpose around building something that truly matters - bringing better technology and experiences to an industry that’s long been underserved. The mission and the community we’ve built along the way make it a place you can feel proud to be part of. Ontic isn’t afraid to take big swings, and that ambition has fueled a lot of our growth. Even when we’ve stretched too far, leadership has been willing to redirect resources and adapt, which shows maturity and awareness as we grow.

Cons

As we transition from a scrappy startup to a more structured scale-up, there are growing pains. We sometimes sign up for more than we should, and the pace of change can be intense. The increasing layers of management mean communication and alignment are more critical than ever - sometimes decisions or strategy shifts aren’t communicated as clearly or consistently as they could be. That can make it hard for teams to stay connected to the “why” behind priorities.

Pros

Nice office. Stocked fridge. Good location.

Cons

They are only focused on the bottom line. They do not care about the people or the impact. Not enough sales to feed the many sales people.
