Hello,
Thank you for taking the time to leave a comment.
I am that you found satisfactory the practical aspects of your working conditions as we do believe in the importance of comfort to deliver good quality work.
I am not sure what drawbacks you find in OpenClassrooms’s strategy. I can only say that the development strategy of the company is carefully thought out, not only by the Executive team, but also with the support of the Board of Directors, our Advisory Committees, and above all, under the watchful eye of our Mission Committee that advises us on the great strategic axes we should consider to better succeed in our mission — make education accessible. The 2020 Impact report is accessible here in English: https://drive.google.com/file/d/15yEXMq6mkUTPj6RNeVD9uM0ANHWvZkGK/view?usp=sharing.
Here are some data regarding our turnover that speak of themselves: in 2020, our attrition rate was 12.4%, which is rather below the market average — it is around 15%, and even 20% in Tech. 30% of the team has been working at OpenClassrooms for more than 2 years, which, given that the team has grown from 200 to 300 people over the last year, is not consistent with the high turnover rate you mention.
Finally, regarding the number of VPs, there are currently 10 VPS and 8 C-Levels for over 300 employees. I don’t think this can be considered a lot, but I leave it to everyone to form their own opinion about it.
Thank you for your work at OpenClassrooms,
Pierre Dubuc
