good internal local politics and competitive environment.

Cons

pay is trash, they used to give bonuses on birthdays and no longer do. after a new company took over they family vibe went out the window.

I have worked for OpenEye for 5+ years. I am a senior software engineer with OpenEye and I enjoy working here. I appreciate the clear direction given to the software team. I know what I am supposed to work and and why. I am given reasonable time to complete tasks. OpenEye also has a great QA department and I have a good working relationship with them. There is great camradarie amoung the software teams. OpenEye provides opportunities for us to give back to the community with annual bike builds and student mentoring. In the summer we have regular company barbecues and we often celebrate our software releases with a party.

Some of the benefits could be improved.
