Pros

Performance-based culture CEO is passionate and in the trenches, on a mission to build an enduring company that changes the way local government operates in the US Like many growth-stage companies, huge opportunities for personal growth (no shortage of problems to be solved) Differentiated in mission inherent in the product. Not building another digital marketing tool. Smart and diverse group of people. Increasingly so with 5 US hubs and large presence in Pune, India

Cons

The transition back to the office is hard. OpenGov is ripping the bandaid off. Govtech is not the sexiest industry. Growth is more hard fought compared to general enterprise SaaS. Will not see a hockey stick. Not a 3-5 year PE flip. Investing for the long term. Not a play to jump in and get a quick payout.

Pros

From day one at OpenGov I was blown away by the hands-on training and the genuine support from leadership. As someone who joined as an SDR in September 2024 I felt fully equipped to succeed thanks to the structured ramp-up process and the team's commitment to my growth. That support has now helped me transition into an Account Executive role with confidence. The culture here is fast paced, collaborative, and incredibly motivating, especially for someone who’s young, driven, and eager to learn. OpenGov truly invests in its people and it shows in how they develop talent from within.

Cons

I have truly enjoyed every bit of my time here at OpenGov.
