Pros

A great product and fantastic customers that we get to work with. Things move quickly, the collaboration across teams and willingness to help is unmatched.

Cons

Things move quickly. This might be a con for some people but I enjoy the variety that my days bring.

Pros

I could not be more proud to work for OpenGov. Prior to my time here, I didn't think it was possible for work to feel so safe, positive and rewarding - many past experiences told me that your career was just supposed to be difficult, an uncomfortable counterpoint to your personal life, whether you were really good at your job, or not. This company has completely redefined what healthy work, and true vocation is for me, and I would never accept anything less. At OpenGov, I feel real ownership in the work that we do - people succeed here by being open, honest, and by playing as a team. There is a pervasive respect for the unique talents and personalities of all roles, at all levels, across all teams. Everyone is encouraged to bring autonomous creativity and personal passions to the table, to solve a never-ending stream of difficult problems - and it all gets done, in elegant fashion. At the end of the day, we are moving in unison towards one simple goal - improving the way government works - and in that mission, myself and my colleagues find an endless source of inspiration. Local government is the engine of high-functioning society, and to the extent that we can make it better, everyone's life improves - rising tides raise all ships. Leaders are bright and respectful, ideas are shared openly and communicated effectively, and difficult times are managed as something as close to a family as you'll ever get from a corporation. I count many of my colleagues as great and life-long friends. I feel lucky every day to wake up, and get down to achieving my goals in whatever way works best for me. And all of that, to me, feels like true equity, true freedom, and an actual balance between work and life. If you're considering working for OpenGov, and have a real opportunity to do so, I could not recommend the decision to take that chance more highly.

Cons

If you don't like working really hard, this probably isn't the place you want to be. But then again, you may have never experienced the joy that comes with hard work being meaningful, and appropriately recognized, and rewarded.

Pros

So proud to be part of the OpenGov Team. Hearing customers speak of us as a valued partner, a partner that will work tireless to make all governments successful makes OpenGov not just another tech company. OpenGov is making a meaningful impact for 1000s of governments. Knowing that every day I am adding to the success of my colleagues is energizing. As a former customer, the company truly is mission driven and listens to all feedback on how to be even better.

Cons

The only con of OpenGov is once you are employee you would never want to leave.
