Pros

There is absolutely none. Please read the cons for why.

Cons

Want to join Opentext? read on. 1. Some managers are out for vengeance which make people's lives miserable. which is the case with almost every org. However, here, such people are promoting a godfather type culture with impunity. They are promoting a culture of favoritism without any checks and balances from HRs/higher management. 2. HRs : They are there, not sure why. OpenText makes sure to hire the worst of the lot, half educated people who unfortunately behave as if they are the boss. They are there to make your life difficult, and if you question them, they will point their fingers at the top management shifting all the blame. I mean, I bet you try find out a job which has zero responsibilities. What I don't understand is, even when your paycheck comes from the hard work of the very engineers who you should be helping, you end up creating more problems for those very engineers!! You guys should be ashamed of what you do for living. To put it mildly, it is grossly immoral and borderline criminal. OpenText, if you ever want to cut costs, get rid of these folks first. They are doing more harm to the org. than you can imagine. 3. Process and Product : No one has any clue on what is going on. Everybody is busy shifting blame on other teams for the very mistakes they should have taken care of. 4. WFH policy : this is a beauty. You have to work from office 3 days a week. If you have a genuine case where you can't come to office, you HAVE TO apply for leaves!! If you don't, disciplinary action will be taken against you. @OpenText, punish China for Covid, not your employees. You would think, HRs wont allow such things in the org, but you would be wrong. They are the active participants in such schemes, which is in turn is putting a very bad name to the org. At the time of your full and final settlement, the days you have been working from home will be deducted as leaves too! This is what OpenText is actively promoting in their Bangalore office! I was told once that (and I quote) : "CEO is providing free lunch too, so that's an incentive for you to come to office" Think about it, how petty these people are. [Mark, if you are reading this, connect with me so that I can give you the names of these people.] Have some self respect for yourself. You deserve much better than OpenText. Such organization is acting on borderline criminal policies and will someday be sued into oblivion.
