Pros

Open Text is becoming the leader in Enterprise Information and Content Management through acquisition. With the acquisition of EMC Enterprise Content Division (ECD) they now have a broad portfolio to offer to customers.

Cons

Management seems more focused on the customer base which is acquired with each acquisition, than on the staff that is brought over with the acquisition. People are what makes a company a success and need to be a higher priority.

Pros

Good people, generous leave, competitive pay.

Cons

Acquisition strategy changes focus constantly as new products must be integrated immediately so that they can be sold. Every acquisition results in hiring freeze and subsequent layoffs across the entire company no matter what level and/or years of service.
