At OpenText our employee’s wellness is at the heart of all our attention. We do encourage our employees to book all their holidays and enjoy the well-deserved time off. We would recommend that you contact your HR business partner or your manager if you feel you need guidance on how to get to a convenient work life balance.

Worst “Tech” Company You Could Work For

Pros

If you work, you get a paycheck. Whether or not your peers invest any effort in the same does not matter, as you will still be paid the same as the bottom of the barrel employee.

Cons

-CEO advised he could hire a “click-farm” to raise Glassdoor rating reviews. Don’t let it fool you. -Constant Layoffs -Yearly “merit” increases hang at 1% or less. (Overall Inflation was up 5.6% in 2021, so you will continue to make less and less than you did the year before, regardless of effort or achievement in your work group.) -Acquire and Fire mentality. There is no innovation. Products come here to die. -If you can be replaced with someone cheaper, you will be—even if you received company awards and acknowledgement in the days and months before your termination. -Diversity = a team of white men who consistently speak (mow) over their female counter parts on a daily basis. -Unconscious Bias and Sexual Harassment training is only there to “check the box.” Women have been referred to with pet names in my presence. -The expectation is that you work until you die. - Flexible work arrangements are touted as possible, but are rare. The number crunchers in facilities over estimated the amount of office space required for employees, so there is a major push to return workers to the office. -“Keep your head down” is the mantra to ensure you don’t make the short list for termination.
