Pros

Work from home. Great PTO when you can take it. Good benefits package, reasonable costs. 401K match is ok. Old solutions but still have a place in the market.

Cons

Outrageously high turn over for Account Executives and Solution Consultants. So many new people that it takes over a year to close your first deal, unless you are lucky. Less than 10% of AE’s make their quota. Management manages KPI’s, not sales opportunities. Expect a tongue lashing when you miss your weekly KPI’s. Annual ethics, security online training. Too bad this is not enforced in the field. So many bad deals and deceptive selling takes place. Close the deal at whatever costs. Organic growth is minimal and acquisitions are they way Opentext continues to thrive. Deal splits are common in many deals and executive management allows higher splits than what the rules for splits dictate. Inside Sales is allowed to grab deals even when the account is specifically named. Executive Management allows it to happen. Cloud deals max payout is 50% MCV. Sap deals get only 40% commission. Delayed commissions on maintenance revenue from SAP by 4 months. If you leave, you don’t get paid.

Pros

For over 16 years, I worked for "A Great Software" Company & have the T-Shirt to prove it. :) It was a smooth running company! A CEO who never failed to recognize ALL of us, the ones who made it happen - Sales, Engineering, Technical Support and Admin Staff - we were ALL part of making it happen - as human elements. Took early retirement - Life is Good Again!!

Cons

After the acquisition, it changed. We became cogs in a machine, easily replaceable. Little to no leadership and if so, often conflicting. It was like no one could/would make a decision.

Pros

Get a doctor's note for mental health issues, take 6 months off and get paid.

Cons

TOXIC, TOXIC, TOXIC. Run, don't walk, away from this dysfunctional company! No raises for 5 years, no recognition, nothing. Just acquisition after acquisition and no end in sight.
