Antagonistic to Employees

Pros

You'd need an electron microscope to find one.

Cons

Upper management has a very negative attitude towards the employee base. HR is nonexistent: -Benefits cheapened every year -401k match is a joke, except no one is laughing (perhaps the CEO) -Can't keep a head of HR because once they realize they can't do anything to improve employees' situation, they leave. -At one point, HR department reported to Finance. -Employee awards program was eliminated, and we were told that a simple emailed "thank you" should suffice. -CEO doesn't believe in merit raises for employees, and if you take a promotion don't expect your pay to be brought up to code. -CEO personally intervenes to significantly reduce commissions for top sales performers on big deals. -Company is reliant on acquisitions for growth, yet slaps Sales organization with huge organic growth targets which are unachievable due to unwillingness to invest in product or marketing. -All supporting organizations operate on skeleton crews, meaning no work-life balance. -Telework has been severely restricted and badge check have been implements. Note, this is a "technology company" and it's 2019. -Smart and experienced leaders leave because all their best efforts are overruled by CEO's whims.

Pros

Some great people in the company

Cons

Management by Analytics (including firing and holding back) Treated the same as everyone else Regardless of whether you are completely missing, achieving or exceeding your targets (ok, that may seem like a benefit to an under achiever and it is) Getting hit by politics regardless of your seniority (or lack of) The last job you will ever have - if your leaving threatens their success in a business line you or your next employer will end up in a lawsuit. BE WARNED!!! Promotion based on incompetence. Work/Life balance does not exist if you are good at what you do. If you are not then you won’t get pulled into every deal and can achieve it. While I was there Benefits seemed to get watered down every year Minimal salary increases. If you agree to join at a certain salary expecting it to go up over time forget it going up. Likewise if you transfer internally to a new position paying more expect just a 2-3k increase, even when those around you make 20-50k more than your base (policy seems to be no major pay bumps for internal transfers - be glad you got the position!!)

Pros

Money. Bonuses. HMO. Increase. If money is all you’re looking for, then it’s good for you.

Cons

No work life balance. Too much politics. QA managers are the worst.
