Pros

Nothing as such here in Micro focus (now open text)

Cons

Biased work culture. No importance or growth to technically/technologically/ hardworking people. People who just are close to managers and who don't know how to solve the problems or work will be preferred. Very worst politics micro focus (now open text) Very old technology products. Very less scope of career growth

Pros

Great team willing to help each other out. Great team Team Lead and First Line Manager that care about employees' growth and well being. Good benefits Good pay Vacation time

Cons

Micromanagement enforced by senior/upper management believing it increases productivity, which it doesn't. It only demotivates employees, burns them out, and causes them to leave. Work/life balance is almost non-existent. Senior/upper management expect their employees to work like robots 24/7. You have to set boundaries and commit to them. Otherwise, you are a goner. Team Lead and First Line Manager care about their employees, but everyone above them don't. Questionable/self-centered CEO that brags about being tech-smart just to make himself look smart and popular. Also overhypes political correctness believing that's the most important thing that a company can do to thrive. Yes, people deserve a chance, but he is overdoing it. Company says they are customer-friendly, but its far from the truth. They layoff people without any signs or warnings. They don't care about their employees. Yes, some companies do the same thing and often pretend like they care, but if OpenText claims to be different and better, they must start acting like it.

Zero Sales Culture

Business Outlook

Pros

People are generally nice and helpful

Cons

Zero sales culture, no fun spiffs or incentives. Commissions usually calculated wrong and need to be corrected. CEO has NO sales background and should not be involved in customer sales negotiations.

Thank you for your feedback. As the company grows through acquisition, there will unavoidably be some duplication in roles which may lead to team structure rebalancing to ensure that the appropriate level of skill is attributed to each area of the business. As and when these changes may happen, information is provided to employees as early as possible in line with legal requirements. We try as much as possible to support team members in finding opportunities in other areas of the business, should their areas be impacted by restructuring.
