      Opentext is a good place for a new or junior Developer to start

      Pros

      Very flexible in terms of in office / work from home. Officially it 3 days in office but most managers are very flexible. A lot of company events, easy going office atmosphere, well spaced out lots of space as many are WFH. Good access to online training for Developers. Like all big organizations you have to push your onw brand, very important

      Cons

      Big organization with a very large off shore presence , so job stability will be an issue in the next few years. A very hierarchal structure, lots of layers, Senior Directors, directors, Senior Managers , Managers, Senior Principal Developer, Principal Developer etc. Heavy focus on AWS ! No onsite Gym, reimbursement for Gym or health related expense is very sparse. Like many big organization there is the usual Career Development plans but as usual they never really get implemented or at least there is big push at the start then at the end.

      Working environment is too good!!! You will get opportunities to work on different technologies.Since the product is vast it will take time to learn.Work life balance is good here. Coming to the benefits, policies are employee friendly. Company is offering free food , free cab to all the employees. They will encourage you to do certifications on new technologies and you can claim for it.It helps in building your career.You can claim for fitness programs. They are following hybrid model (3days /week). Initially I f

      Currently its hybrid working model (3days/week).Let it be like this only for few more years and don't call for 5 days a week.
