      Pros

      I met some very talented people from both sides (Fishnet and Accuvant). If you are new to information security then this is a good place to go to cut your teeth, just be mindful of when you have out grown Optiv and get out.

      Cons

      This place sells itself as a leader in information security but the fact is it is very void of talent. Most of the talented people from both sides of the merger have moved on to greener pastures and whats left is the remaining people trying to get out. Poor benefits, No options for a pre IPO company, and the exodus is very apparent. If you're experienced and value your reputation in the Security community then you should probably distance yourself from Optiv.

      A dinosaur living past it's time.

      Pros

      A place to camp until you find something better or to get some experience if you're a recent grad or junior delivery consultant. It's also a greet place if you're part of the inner circle of executives. Optiv prides itself on being the biggest in the space but biggest is not always better. Certainly not for the vast majority of their employees.

      Cons

      Mismanagement & political turmoil within. Accuvant was a great company before Blackstone got involved. They were building something special and had some really talented people. Most of all they were a PEOPLE company. All that's left now are a bunch of greedy executives trying their best to paint a good picture for their employees while they work to fatten the pig hoping for a big IPO payday.

      Great place to work!

      Pros

      This is a fantastic place to work. Lots of support and Management is great. The Optiv name and logo are catching on with customers. It's great being a part of the largest pure play cyber security company in the country.

      Cons

      The Merger between Accuvant and Fishnet Security was a huge undertaking and a bit shaky, but getting the kinks are getting worked out. Benefits are a bit expensive.
