Pros
Some of the best people I've ever worked with were at Optiv. Work-life balance is also excellent. Money is reasonably good and there's definitely an emphasis on positive culture. Lots of opportunities to grow and gain experience.
Cons
Completely disorganized go-to-market approach, constantly being reinvented before the prior approach can prove itself. CEO brought in by the PE owners from the Big 4 and has no idea what cybersecurity is, relies on ghostwriters and talking points, and is clearly in it for his own exit. Highly process driven, almost to a fault, Optiv embodies the euphemism "penny wise, pound foolish".
