Pros

Comprehensive benefits, Tuition Reimbursement, full time employment. There are many dedicated professionals working here, attempting to do what is best for patients in a very broken system.

Cons

Rollouts, new initiatives, and changes in protocol are poorly executed and communicated. Unintended consequences of these poorly planed changes are ignored, or not addressed. Expectations to "do more with less" create situations that erode quality in favor of speed. Most goals are unattainable with current staffing models. Tools designed for some sites, and volumes do not work everywhere. This is not acknowledged, and when pressed for solutions beyond placing an IT ticket, there are none. There is no premium placed on focused work. You will be forced to wear many hats, again, due to staffing, so excelling at anything becomes rare, which in turn decreases opportunities for advancement. Although pay is market value on the surface, there is the sense that wages are being held down industry wide. Accountability for poor performance is lacking. A dismissive approach is taken with team members who have not been able to functionally do their job over the long term.
