too many meetings, ongoing changes, too much documentation, flexibility is not "true" flexibility, no sick time, have to use PTO, benefits could be better considering we work for an insurance company.

- they don't give real raises (even as a top performer, you're lucky if you get a 2% raise). their new thing since the massive layoffs last year is to put a cap on how many good reviews managers are allowed to give. so if you are on a team where everyone is performing at a high level, some will be picked to receive less than perfect reviews for no reason. last year I was told "not everyone can get a 5" as the only reason for not getting a perfect review. - no opportunities for advancement unless you apply for an entirely different role elsewhere in the organization. (even still, very difficult to do) I've been an analyst for 5yrs and was told that the likelihood of even making it to Senior Analyst is very low and basically takes an act of God. - unstable working environment. with layoffs and re-orgs, I've had 5 managers in 5 years. I was recently given a new job, new title, and new manager without discussion or any say in the matter. - constant budget cuts yet excessive spending on wasteful unnecessary things. no more budgets for any committees or gatherings, yet a single clinic with had 12 credit card machines allotted to their site as a part of a recent rollout (not in error), and all of our clinics recently had their, in many cases new and in perfect condition, computer monitors forcibly replaced as a part of the same rollout.
