Pros

Great training program right out of college, or a few years out of college. Oracle eases you into corporate America with a cohort of people that are around your same age. I love the relationships I've made at Oracle and that is definitely the highlight of this role. The work is easy. LinkedIn, Emails, Cold calls and Meetings. The base pay and bonuses are worth the amount of work we do. Incentives (WFH, Day off) for hitting your number keep me going.

Cons

Things in sales can get boring. But, so can any job. In this role you meet your quota for the quarter and restart for the next quarter. That personally effects me at the beginning of every quarter, being back at zero. If you have a passion for sales then this is for you. If you don't, this can just be a job for a year to get your foot in the door of corporate America.

Pros

Easy work and a hybrid schedule

Cons

My boss in the Burlington office would scream and spit in my face so much that'd he get red and sweaty (and he was very intimidating). It was scary. After the first time he said HR wouldnt do anything and that I was stuck with him for at least 2yrs, so I may as well buckle up. I hate him so much that I allowed him to degrade me worse than a schoolyard bully. He'd say things like, I hate you, you're the worst, I can't stand you... I should have gotten him fired but I was afraid. When I left the org, I told HR and she didn't care. That HR is their to protect the company and its lifers, not you. My advice is to get a job there, don't be #1 or you'll get noticed, just keep low for 2-3yrs then quit for a better money & culture.

Pros

Employee Stock Purchase Plan paid out well if you bought in early Good vacation benefits

Cons

With an employee base of nearly 200,000 people across the world, there is little grip on the different fiefdoms that promote and protect themselves, but don't contribute or collaborate a lot beyond that. Reorgs created massive suborganizations that placed around a thousand employees under a single SVP, and hundreds under new, inexperienced VPs.
