Pros

1. Unlimited sick leaves. 2. Great products and huge customer base. 3. Opportunities to switch internally but only at same level. 4. Job security to some extent and good place for people who just take life easy and want to get paid without putting in any extra efforts.

Cons

1. People do not grow here especially in support. Seen 90% of them working at same level for 10 - 15 years and neither does management care to give them growth. Absolutely stagnant. 2. No pay hikes whatsoever. This is in entire support organization EBS, Fusion, OCI etc. 3. Even if you earn new qualification, still management will not consider you for any growth and neither will any team consider you at a higher level. Their thinking is if you are an IC2 or IC3 then even if you earn a harward degree we will still consider you for an IC3 only and unless you work at IC3 for 20 years we won't let you grow. It's better to leave if you are ambitious and grow elsewhere. 4. Seen so many managers not even qualified for an engineer role but still they are managers. So, one thing proved. Here to get selected you need influence and they would even hire a joker with 0 skills to lead a team of expert engineers but would not consider a deserving engineer for a manager role. I have seen all this happening in 6 years of full time work. Those who have been working full time for years can surely relate what I am saying.

Tough place to work

Pros

None. I was there for 3 years and didn't see any pros.

Cons

Dealing with Prime and Co Prime relationships as a sales rep (AE). When they introduce new products, they don't know how to set quotas. So they end up changing them every month/quarter/year. In addition, Oracle allows for other sales teams to sell on top of you. For example I was selling the CX Suite and they allowed the ERP team to sell into the same accounts and sell the CX Suite as well. And the CX team wasn't comped! There is a mass exodus at the end of every Q4 due to change in territories and quotas.

Pros

Not many pros. I suppose the benefits are good. Tuition reimbursement was useful. Training opportunities are great if you want to learn Oracle tech and your management allows you to train.

Cons

Oracle is becoming irrelevant and is grasping to rise back to its heyday but they are doing this with their old tactics of browbeating employees and customers and that's not the way things work anymore. There is a huge internal conflict between the newer OCI teams and legacy Oracle teams that fund the growth in Cloud. This is ripping the company apart. If you spend any serious amount of time here, it will damage your marketability on the open market. Much of the tech is not widely used and is not the latest and greatest. Managers and up do not learn how to manage and direct at a level that other companies are hiring managers (financials, project management, workforce management, etc) There is no real career advancement - titles might change for the better but the role stays the same. There are very few chances for lateral movement and even fewer chances for management promotions - unless you know a VP. Unless you are in OCI, there are limited raises and equity.
