      Part of a small, acquired company, but not kept past transition.

      Pros

      The benefits package is quite good. I have also met some exceptional people at Oracle. Flexible workplace options are offered.

      Cons

      With over 100,000 employees, you can imagine there is a lot of bureaucracy. There is also a complex, top-down structure to management and, in my opinion (caveat: after five months), a culture of hierarchy and power that must be mastered in order to rise.

      Pros

      Oracle is a very humane company to work for. The work atmosphere is exceptionally conducive to employees and complete freedom is given to transfer within groups. The pace of work is usually quite manageable, especially when compared to other IT companies.

      Cons

      The company is too big and it is easy to get lost. Some groups, especially those working on legacy products, tend to use outdated technology and career prospects could be limiting n such situations.

      Pros

      Great industry knowledge and has a solid product offering (utilities). Most people are knowledgeable with the product and have the passion to deliver the best solution.

      Cons

      Quite a bit of bureaucracy to get things approved. Some policies are not quite appropriate for travelling consultants. Promotions and increases are hard to come by
