Pros

Company is profitable, so job is relatively stable.

Cons

High expectations without proper compensation. Chances of any pay raise close to none. Negotiate your salary when getting the job cause you will be stuck with it for years. Big corporation mentality focused on nothing else but profit: you don't matter, just get your job done. General atmosphere of distrust, micromanagement starting from VP levels. Daily status reports not uncommon. Everyone is constantly monitored so watch your every step. If you like the "dog eat dog" mentality this is the place for you.

Pros

As an Oracle employee you'll have excellent access to bleeding edge technology and training. As a former employee I took the training benefit for granted. Retrospectively, I wish I would have taken more advantage of the free training resources.

Cons

100% travel is not for the faint of heart. Going through the airport grind twice a week or more is no longer glamorous. It's hell.
