Pros

Everything sucks. Every year they expect more of you without a minimum cost of living increase. You get unlimited PTO, but you're expected to be billable 40 hours a week and do lots of non-billable, internal work.

Cons

There is no appreciation for going above and beyond meeting the client requirements.

Stumbling past acquisition, led by tech bros

Pros

Whole company closes between Christmas and NYE; decent pay depending on position within Oracle (Healthcare tends to be less due to Cerner acquisition). Huge customer retention issue has led to tech bros beginning to consider listening to healthcare SMEs.

Cons

Tech bros thought they were so much smarter than healthcare SMEs post Cerner acquisition, so disregarded important customer relationship needs. Hardly any women in VP+ roles. Lots of churn, constant layoffs and org changes, and no clear communication or strategy from leadership. Everything is top down with limited or no empowerment below SVP level. Huge bottlenecks.

Pros

Interesting products and ability to engage with tech executives. Good benefits.

Cons

No one cares about you, your career, or work/:life balance. Oracle gets 1000s of resumes everyday, you are replaceable. Raises and stocks are given to executives and senior team; minimal reaches IC and Senior managers. Little communication occurs between divisions, which makes it impossible for a cohesive go-to-market strategy. Internal CRM system is the worst I have experience. If you speak up and try to improve the broken system; you will lose your job (I have seen many good employees with excellent reviews loss their jobs for speaking up). Only way to survive is keep your head down and shut-up. Soul crushing.
