Very few departments are respected and there is so much politics. I would expect to have negative interactions with some of the visitors because it is a hospital and typically people aren't there for happy reasons but honestly the employees were the worst. Rude and disrespectful--you need to be very cut throat and at an executive level to enjoy your work at OHSU.

A company continually undercutting its employee's pay, retirement and benefits for greater profit, not what I'd like to see in a non-profit. Fractured schools and departments, many of which are very diverse and have open, exciting, and greatly productive, nurturing cultures others of which are the opposite and verge on or have outright displayed age and racial preference and sexism, bullying and poor management practices.
