You get to wear an Orkin uniform just like the technicians !

Cons

Salespeople managed by operations people, next to no leads, a lot of paperwork and reports every day, very poor earning potential

Orkin does have a sales and operations model and support our technicians having the opportunities with those customers they are already helping. This allows for consistency as well as rewarding employees accordingly. Training and coaching for our sales reps and account managers is provided regularly by Regional Sales Managers. Pros

Through the door it’s fun, even though long hours Co-workers made it fun.

Cons

Management sells you a dream, only care about numbers. You start off full time but in paper is technically part time, no room for growth.

You’re in an autonomous work environment.

Cons

Management doesn’t care about their employees. As a sales Inspector, you rely on commission from sales but you get little to no help from management. Everyone in the branch is given the ability to make sales and gain commission from them so there is very little incentive for front office staff or technicians to pass leads along. Branch and regional sales management makes it evident they want sleazy sales people to push products/services customers don’t actually need or want.

Orkin has a strong history of professionalism and fairness in our proposals with our customers. We train and coach all of our team members to make recommendations as if it were our own home or property. However, our outside sale representatives are asked to be lead generators and are provided the training and support to do so.
