Training is housed nationally but specific tasks are determined locally, which means that not all the training applies to the role for a particular branch and there are other things being applied to the role for a particular branch that are not part of the training. Too many locations in which to go looking for answers/information. No clear outline for the expectations of the role by which one might gauge performance over the course of the year for one's annual review. The CSS reports directly to the branch manager, which puts the CSS in the odd position of being in the office but not part of the main team. In our office, this has resulted in frequently being on the outside of information loops, and that gap is larger when there are only service managers available in the absence of a branch manager.

I personally had no such training being a commercial tech. I took over one of the REGIONS biggest accounts at the time and had only a couple weeks worth of shadowing for that account alone. And I had to complete 100 other accounts throughout the month. (Which I never once got the chance to visit while “training”).
