Pros

It USED to be a great place to work, so if you want to sit in nostalgia for the good times when executives didn’t look at employees as a piggy bank to raid when they want another bonus for themselves then this place is for you!

Cons

Hospital executives are unbelievably money hungry, FAR more than at other hospitals. Nurses were fired during COVID to cut costs. PPE is STILL locked away from bedside nursing, but not for doctors. Administration refuses to pay out bonuses even after promised for OT. Administration flat out refuses to replace nurse that have quit, driving ratios to insane levels.

Pros

Room for advancement, great benefits. The facilities are clean and customer service is of utmost importance!

Cons

Some management shouldn't be in that role.

Pros

This is from a corporate point-of-view. Things maybe different from a clinical standpoint. Relaxed work hours and environment (if working for corporate) Healthcare benefits very inexpensive as long as you stay in-network Chances of you being fired is near 0%. Even if you don't do anything all day. Company realizes that it needs to improve just doesn't know how to accomplish Competitive 401k/403b benefit

Cons

Compensation is below industry average Unable to hold on to technically competent team members Policies not followed or enforced. Most policies out dated Over reliant on 3rd party vendors for everything Same executive management has been in place for 20+ yrs Buddy system and back door deals run rampant at the highest levels Patient care has gotten worse despite millions spent on campaign to improve Technical and non-technical jobs rolled into same generic job title (meaning same pay) Clinical EMR's are a mess. Difficult to tell what is wrong with patients, what was done to treat them, or if they are getting better or worse. Unqualified clinical staff are given supervisory roles in IT projects The CIO makes all software purchasing decisions, does not seek advice from his technical experts, and claims success even though software implementation fails to meet objectives. Projects take years longer than necessary and cost way more then expected
