Great company

Pros

The benefits package including time off is very good from the start. Time off climbs significantly the longer you are here. Love the people I work with. Ottobock ensures you have the pieces you need to succeed when given a task. They invest heavily in the training and education of their employees. You can speak freely about issues surrounding your job, and your superiors are more than happy to help rectify whatever the problems may be. As long as you have a good work ethic, and do your absolute best while here, you will absolutely go far with this company.

Cons

There is no nacho bar provided in the break room. Although the marketplace has everything you may need to make your own, it would be nice to have a never ending supply of nachos.

Thank you for your review. We are delighted that you have experienced Ottobock as an exciting place to work. At the same time, your criticism about better communication is helpful. We are happy to pass on this feedback. We will continue to develop our programs to ensure we provide the best experience for our employee. (I agree a nacho bar would be a fun addition!) Sincerely, Ottobock Careers

Not bad

Pros

Good environment, holiday parties are fun and inviting... although don't expect many holidays off. Great place to pick up new things and move on to the next position in a new company. Turnover seemed low

Cons

Company doesn't really listen to complaints or concerns, they just get brushed off. Don't expect to advance, there isnt much room for position growth but there is room for learning. Originally were not very flexible with work from home, but I suspect thats changed a bit now. Young people tend to not stay long, ive noticed this in my time there.

Pros

Your coworkers are some of the best and value the company mission. Also nice to know the products you help sell and support help people walk and move. The office has a museum type feel to it (great if you love this type of environment). The CEO does their best for what they can do given that it is run by a German company.

Cons

The health insurance is lacking. You would figure for a company to be in the healthcare space, they would have some of the best insurance possible, yet it is below average. The benefits as well aren't that great compared to some of the other companies in Austin. The office has a museum type feel to it (If you don't like working in this type of environment). Outdated and strange way of doing tasks sometimes. Also lacking the strategies to creat a work life integration model.
