Pros

OR has a strong culture that seeps through the office. It is tough to find anyone that truly does not like working their. While it may not apply to all, I have had great experience with the opportunities and growth within the company and have felt that OR values promoting from within. As a parent, I also appreciate the great work-life balance the office offers.

Cons

While I have experienced some growth within the company, I am also not sure how far up they continue to consider from within. Also, the benefit of working in the outdoor industry is often pushed upon us as we continue to not be able to compensate our teams properly for the work they are doing.

Pros

- dogs allowed at work - great industry discounts - ski day at Crystal Mtn - kegs on Fridays - casual environment - independently owned - ORCA card for 10 bucks/mo - rock climbing wall and bike parking "cage" - can rent free kayaks for the weekend - free coffee

Cons

- outdated systems and little processes/procedures in place - some departments extremely micromanaged - company vision seems to be amiss - company seems to be struggling - recent layoffs, president changes, and push for cost cutting measures across the company - no room for growth/advancement - no learning opportunities for employees - not a challenging work environment - lack of work = lack of motivation (too micromanaged) - no matching 401K - independently owned, so little cash flow for better systems and overall backing - good ol' boys club - not much room for women to move forward - no parking - not everyone gets parking
