Pros

Some genuinely good people. Was given a few creative projects that I could pitch/own. Discount on outdoor gear and once in a while some free product. Beer at company meetings (probably not a thing anymore). If you're just trying to get your foot in the door with the outdoor industry, you could do worse as a place to start but be aware of the cons.

Cons

Everything else really... Salary very mediocre. Benefits very mediocre. Received one incremental raise in 3 years there. Management could care less about its employees. Everyone is expendable unless you're an absolute brown noser and have little work/life balance.

Pros

Free gear and industry discounts. Flexible hybrid schedule. Genuine brand effort to be more sustainable, inclusive and ethical.

Cons

No clear career path. Unstated but expected to work overtime without compensation.

Pros

Pro-deals, and some really great coworkers who truly care about boosting the outdoor industry.

Cons

Low wages, high-stress/dangerous work environment, ethically broken management, terrible work-life balance for an outdoors company, production workers and engineers treated terribly compared to marketing/sales/accounting, zero room for upward growth, bad business decisions made by management lead to several rounds of layoffs and anxiety across the engineering and production team. Not to mention, the ONLY diversity in the entire company comes from the Asian immigrant workers paid hourly to sew gloves for 40 hours a week. Nice.
