Not a bad Company

Pros

Good pay for the positions in the plant. PM's and proper repairs are performed along with winter and summer shut downs. So most equipment is kept in fairly good shape as long as the techs do the right thing and perform all repairs and report any issues found. Maintenance has a decent working relationship with production employees and it is encouraged to as well.

Cons

As maintenance you will never have a weekend off, weekends are for PM's and bigger repairs that were found during the week, so it's all hands on deck. They have some issues finding/keeping techs due to the schedule, so it's common for the schedule to shift from 3 shifts @ 8hrs to 2 shifts @ 12hrs. Weekends can be anywhere from 8-16hrs depending on how many work orders and difficulty of work to be accomplished. Normally you wont know how much needs to be accomplished until Friday or when you come in on Saturday. The Memphis area Kellogg's and Hersey management/supervision started to be hired on and the plant went downhill fast. Things that were tolerable were no longer tolerable and maintenance was blamed for almost everything, even things that had nothing to do with us.
