Pros

Enjoyed working with cool technology.

Cons

Upper management has no respect for individual contribution. It feels that upper management is more concerned with exercising their authority, than assembling a cohesive team. Moral is very low due to negative leadership.

Pros

The pay's ok. The people are alright. The work is interesting.

Cons

Poor planning. Poor communication between departments. Poor co-operation between departments. Blame culture. Currently in the process of forcing all production staff from flexible working hours to strict shift patterns, whilst preaching their commitment to good work/life balance, well being and mental health awareness. Continuous barrages of terrible management decisions. 4 managing directors in as many years. No encouragement to progress your career. Team leaders that tell you, you're in a "dead end job , that's not going anywhere." High staff turnover. Their handling of the pandemic has been terrible. Management trying to run the business from home.

Pros

Team of capable, smart, honest, hard-working professionals Interesting, trans disciplinary technology Opportunities to interact with leading industrial and academic groups around the globe

Cons

Principals do not understand the value of others, hire valuable experience they will not listen to, do not find value on hiring and using effectively business talents outside their skill set -many blind spots there Company and team opportunities are fumbled by not planning and placing resources based on data and facts Cult mindset product development on obscure unproven new techniques that hurts marketing and sales teams, stop marketing penetration Decisions fall in the hands of very few with no rational or due process / group analysis. On acquisition employees got admonished not to communicate with OI which limited visibility of areas for improvement No career development, chip-on-shoulder attitude by principal -no leadership skills: take full credit for team wins, blame full failure on others Below industry compensation Emergence of important number of competitors and dominance by market leader with savvier business teams

Thanks for taking the time to write this review. We're glad you liked the people you worked with. Operational Excellence is a focus for all the OI businesses and sites, so hopefully processes and training have already improved.

Pros

In general the company is very flexible, and you can plan your own work and travelling with little or none at all micromanaging. Strong and loyal customer base, and very knowledgeable apps team make life in sales quite agreeable.

Cons

Compensation is not so good, and clear leadership of middle management lacking.
