Pros

Great benefits. Good people. Well capitalized and secure blue-chip company. It is an excellent platform to build your career.

Cons

Very corporate, extremely hierarchical. You must fit the mold to move up. Getting too big and loosing it's culture.

It's all about the needs of the business before your own

Pros

Free food on statutory holidays, fun coworkers, work with many departments and not just your own.

Cons

No work/life balance appreciation, standing or working in unsafe conditions sometimes, sometimes going into work it makes you feel like you were going into prison because you were being micromanaged often, locker/lunch room is constantly changing and in a not so good way, felt under appreciated for your work, not enough to acknowledgement of good work, can get written up for many different reasons, didn't have the proper resources or quality resources to perform our job, you can't move up in the company because they feel like you are not capable enough and feel like you are better off doing the same role

Pros

- Very competitive compensation and benefits program - Toronto head office is very close to Union Station - Work life balance can be very good for some groups

Cons

- Inconsistency in work flexibility from group to group (some offer flex hours, remote work opportunities, paid time away to care for a sick child, and some groups are not flexible despite similarities in job function) - Very outdated technology is used - A very strong focus on creating detailed work processes and corporate controls stifles creativity
