P&S TRANSP IS A GOOD PLACE TO WORK, UNLESS YOU ARE IN ACCOUNTING!

The best thing about working at PS Transp. is to NOT work in accounting. However, they treat their drivers well and will go above and beyond to do whatever they can to keep the professional drivers and Dispatchers making money and working within their schedules as often as possible. . environments.

Cons

If you are not a 'strong' individual who can tolerate bullying, having your work sabotaged at every turn ( yes, I have every bit of it documented and witnesses) and can take being gossiped about and hearing other co-workers being slandered and humiliated in and out of the office, on facebook, in restaurants, etc. , then this is not the environment for you. When reporting this to the supervisor, it only gets worse and they will go to any extreme behavior to make you quit. The retaliation is then at a level that even going to HR seems like a complete waste of time and if you do, I hope you have other employment lined because you will not last very long. This has been an ongoing issue for years and as I have seen many reviews stating the same. Workloads need to be distributed more evenly and everyone should be held to the same company rules, processes and procedures.

-Want you to work overtime as much as possible. They trap you by providing free food with the expectation that you will stay longer than is necessary -Management displays favoritism and treats certain employees better than others not based off work ethic, but the fact that these employees grovel at their feet and accept being disrespected, and manipulated all for the almighty dollar. -Close process never completed on time. Takes until halfway the next month just to close the books. -Disorganized -Excessive workload. -Not hiring new employees when the vast majority quit and leave for better companies -Lack of professionalism -Nosey. Want to pry into your personal life and act as if they care about you when really they are trying to get dirt on you and find any reason possible to keep you in the office longer than reasonable. -Racist/Prejudice- Try to force their religious or lack of religious beliefs onto others and favor certain employees due to the color of their skin and/or sexual orientation -Frequent use of profanity towards other employees and in general -Speaking poorly and disrespecting former and sometimes current employees. I experienced this multiple times, their first time during my job interview

Crap company...Run As Fast As You Can Away!

Oh this list is long. Dispatch could care less about the drivers. The Houston office is horrible. The guys here will lie to drivers about the loads, they promise getting paid for them if they do their best to get it there on time and if it's past Monday, they will still be paid...LIARS!! They pay only by percentage, including tarp pay. What kind of crap is that?!! No one deserves full tarp pay BUT THE DRIVERS HAVING TO TARP THE LOAD. They don't pay detention and if they do, you only get a percentage. Payroll doesn't show you how much they take out for taxes, HIGHLY QUESTIONABLE!! Makes me wonder if I am actually getting paid correctly. They claim you will make $1,000 or more a week, NOT TRUE!! Ignore their website, it's a bunch of lies. They provide cheap freight, cheap percentage that they pay drivers on the freight. You will loose your home and everything you worked so hard for by working here. This company has no integrity and has no regard for the drivers that supply their paychecks. On a scale of 1 to 10, I would rate them at a 0. The biggest mistake I made was coming to this company.

Firstly, let me say how sorry we are that your experience hasn't been what you expected. our drivers are currently averaging $0.56 per mile and we expect that to increase this year. we would love to keep you but we understand how sometimes a manager/ terminal/ company doesn't end up a good fit for a driver. we will always try to make that right.
