Pros

The whole technical section of the company is awesome, including leadership and staff. 1. Really smart people on the technical team, including both founders. Very inspiring and passionate team. 2. Eye-catching products which will make employees proud of and love to spread the words about them.

Cons

1. Confusing management team; some executives are arrogant and have obvious different attitude when facing different employees. 2. Tricky forecast as the products heavily depend on government policies, though the market is huge. 3. Lack of career development and job security; lack of well defined company procedures. 4. Values 'culture fit' too much that sometimes the company hires non-productive people who are great at culture fit.

Only if you must...

Pros

- At the individual contributor level, great people: smart, able to focus on the big picture without sweating the small stuff, flexibility to navigate an insane number of program pivots, generally good humored and united despite a very challenging CEO; (mostly) everyone is really trying their best in difficult circumstances and there is a real sense of camaraderie because of that (some might call this trauma bonding) - Good comp, especially for the industry (cannabis); note this may change going into 2024 - Fully remote

Cons

- The company is structured to enable the opinion and will of the CEO (and only the CEO) whose management style is rooted in the belief that psychological pressure generates efficiencies and results (if you are at all an emotionally sensitive person, this is absolutely not the place for you) - Decisions are focused exclusively on short term gains without regard to long-term brand impact (i.e. building a top brand to be here in 5, 10 years) - No career development to speak of, unless someone leaves and you're internally promoted so you can cover their work load - Inexperienced board lacks understanding of cannabis-specific fundamentals (both at the consumer and business level), making it difficult for them to pressure test or advise on annual plans and big strategic initiatives

Pros

Great product, still far ahead of generic 510 cartridges. Was a great place to work until the last couple months, the people are second to none. Bonds formed here will last long after Pax.

Cons

Culture is gone, people are leaving left and right even after the layoff. Management is opaque while claiming to be transparent.
