Pros

Very little if any. Employment is a pro while you look for another job. Air conditioning and running water. Restrooms and break rooms

Cons

Where do I start? The managers think they're God's gift. Sad truth is they are all yes men. Their rates are excessively high purposely to steer borrowers back into Fha products which benefit the company more than the borrowers. These guys are Countrywide 2 but nowhere near as good. Rampant violations of the law are common place and if the CFPB paid them a visit, they would be shut down. Corporate thugs that need a taste of their own medicine

Pros

Fantastic co-workers, other than that there aren't any pros. Stay away at all costs.

Cons

Absolutely terrible management in the underwriting department in Texas. Favortism is rampant, no company culture, low balled on salary, employee input not received and suggestions not taken well. I absolutely despise this place. STAY AWAY UNLESS YOU ABSOLUTELY NEED A JOB.

Company culture is terrible

Pros

1. The company has a great cafeteria at the corporate headquarters in Moorpark. Seriously, that's the best thing about the company. 2. The company now has several sites, so if Moorpark isn't doable, one of the other locations might work for you. 3. Prior to working at PennyMac, I worked at Bank of America in the same position. PennyMac paid about 30% more than the bank.

Cons

PennyMac's company culture is terrible. Employee morale is generally awful. If you're fortunate enough to have a good manager, that helps. But overall, people aren't happy to be working there. There is no such thing as work-life balance. Perhaps senior managers enjoy work-life balance, but even that is doubtful.
