Pros

Good opportunity if you really like selling. I can't hate on the place, I learned alot. The biggest problem is the culture is short sighted and unable to process or trust its sales people. This is more a reflection of the central hiring doctrine of most insurance companies, but it hamstrings their ability to grow. Mostly they will be here for ever which is fine. If you are more inclined to being in a "safe place" and not really looking for growth, then this is a great place for you. You could literally work here for the rest of your life if you just hit your sales quota.

Cons

No opportunity for growth unless you want to stay in place. The old adage of "get up and go" is very true here, those who have get up and go, get up and go. Not because the place is evil, its just that selling insurance can be a dull practice. But again, this is not a bad situation. Every person is different, my expectations may be different so for a place like this, I would say that you can be fine, or you can hate it. Overall I would say its more of a long term job type situation then a career.
