Pros
Pretty good benefits, the TOUR offers health, dental, vision, 401k, pension, and even pet insurance. They also have a tuition assistance program. They offer various Lunch & Learns and many other learning opportunities. Some departments have the budget to send their employees to work conferences to expand their career expertise.
Great job to have on your resume and a great charitable organization. They are actively working toward a more diverse and inclusive work place. The TOUR has "YOU" groups that focus in affinities such as: Women in Leadership, Multicultural, Work-Life, and a Military & First Responders group. The TOUR also has the initiative to create a more collaborative work place which has lead to the "Global Home" project where all TOUR employees will share 1 new HQ building instead of 20 different ones.
Cons
The TOUR is reactive instead of proactive. They find strategies that have worked for other companies and try to retrofit them to the fit the needs of the TOUR. There are not many "new" ideas coming from upper management. Also, the TOUR is VERY corporate, very involved with office politics. They may be trying to act like they are loosening up and that they are not a "old white man" kind of company but that effort is taking many many year to actually accomplish.
