PHI Air Medical reviews

It wasn't what I thought it would be. In the time I've been with the company, I have seen it for what it is. A corporation with the dollar as the aim and do anything to get that. Things have changed for the worse in the last 2 years. I've seen a lot of shady maintenance practices and poor guidance from first line supervisors or pressure to do the wrong thing to get the aircraft back up. The helo's are rather old and break a lot and this puts a strain on the team. A lot of people have left recently and now I am seeing why. I was confided in that there is a good ol' boy system that works behind the curtains and If you don't agree with what management does or says they will work against you and that is all true. Guys (and gals) don't put stock in the positive reviews on this platform - those are written by corporate in Arizona trying to up their ratings here. The real deal is out in the field and you will soon see the truth if you hire on. PHI air medical is an immature baby to the HEMS world and it shows with all their over the top policies, requirements, conflicting operating procedures, and quick punitive actions towards the employee, and not to mention hard management rule and reign.

This is only a con if you are not up for a challenge. This isn't the place for someone only looking to draw a paycheck.
