Pros

There is excellent pay, benefits, and customers. I really enjoyed meeting customers and listening to their stories.

Cons

College Grads please please do not waste your time applying to work here. PoolCorp pretends to want change into their company, unfortunately they do not. This company uses what I call the "good ol boy" method. You will not be judged by your work only by if you fit in. I believe corporate is blind to the operations of scp and spp 's. That's scary to me! You WILL BE treated unfairly when you work for a Scp or Spp.

Pros

Management has a kind of hands off approach and let's you focus on your tasks and assignments. Managers will offer guidance and assistance as needed which is nice when you need the support, they aren't afraid to get their hands dirty. Access to online company resources for expanding industry knowledge and staying up to date with industry trends. Great training program for recent college graduates.

Cons

- Like most companies, there are always some managers that are threatened by ambitious employees. If you are constantly looking for new challenges, problems to fix, or inefficiencies to eliminate then you will have to deal with lots of negative criticisms and resistance from those lazy managers. - There also seems to be a huge lack of communication between departments, this results in small problems become large ones and lots of wasted labor hours. - Management doesn't seem to care for improving small problems or realize that pennies lost can add up to significant losses. - Limited career advancement opportunities. - Due to low performance standards you are easily replaceable, don't expect to be valued at what you're worth (regardless of experience, education, or contribution to the company).
