Pros

If you are within or under a solid manager you will learn a great deal about all aspects of business and be given exceptional opportunities within your first 5 years with the company.

Cons

Seems to be a ceiling once you reach branch manager level as there is a bottle neck of qualified individuals who are waiting for the baby boomer generation to move on and out of upper tiers of management. While Poolcorp is one of the leaders in the pool industry their overall technical infrastructure is 2 decades behind todays business environment.

Pros

Good beginning money, great relationships with customers, and once you get a hang of the computer system its pretty easy to do most things

Cons

Haphazard training and safety orientation, barely happened for me. Some customers expect you to know everything right off the bat and tell them how to do their jobs. Felt pressured into constant movement even when others were dicking around b/c I was lower in the totem pole. Some management will mess with your standing to further themselves.
