Pros

Cons

Honestly I wouldn’t want to even give a review because of how much of a awful experience I had.

Pros

My direct coworkers were awesome.

Cons

They treated the day care teachers as less than compared to the preschool teachers, they seemed to give some employees preferential treatment, there did seem to be an emphasis on fat shaming and age shaming, yet they would feed the kids pasta swimming in butter or fried foods. The day care had no outside space to play in without transfer in a shuttle to another building and still that was indoors in an arena type space.

Thank you for your former employment with PRO Club and for providing your feedback. We are happy to hear that your direct coworkers were awesome. We certainly want to create a fair and equal workplace and our HR department and Senior Directors are always available if employees have additional concerns or seek support. Many of our employees are older, including our executive team and we’re surprised that you felt any shame. As far as the outdoor space, we would love to be able to offer that and have looked at all opportunities. The truth is that even though PRO Club is very large, our outdoor space is not and there simply is no place to add an outdoor play space. We didn’t think our childcare programs would grow like they have. Therefore, we utilize our expansive gym, sports courts, nearby park and contracted with the VFW across the street to make the best of our options. We have passed your review to Discovery Bay management. We also offer employees the opportunity to provide feedback during their exit interview. If you would like your comments personally addressed, we'd be happy to put you in touch with our HR Director.

Pros

Healthcare, PTO, professional environment, club access, service discount

Cons

Extremely entitled clientele, and the company owners are sexist and old fashioned (the owner once gave a speech encouraging employees to buy real estate and to vote for Trump at the Christmas party, followed with how progressive they are when it comes to female employees). The uniforms are awful.

Thank you for working at PRO and for your candid feedback. We appreciate that you enjoyed the benefits of working at PRO Club. We agree the uniforms are in need of an upgrade and we’ve been working the past year on a new version, which we hope to slowly implement soon. Uniforms for 850 people is a costly investment. As far as our CEO’s views, he really does view all of the PRO employees as family and sometimes provides what he feels is fatherly advice. He sincerely wants everyone to succeed in their personal life with owning a home, earning a fair income, and saving for retirement. Dr. Mark is also very generous in privately assisting employees in need. PRO is proud of the fact that 80% of the leadership team are women.
